About

Susan MiddendorfHowdy!  My name is Susan.  I am a graphic and web designer that finds classic, clean and minimalist design exciting.  There is just something attractive about simiplicity, function and usability.    Maybe this was why I enjoyed working at Herman Miller in my early corporate days as an Industrial Engineering.

I don’t know about you, but being surrounded by simple yet sophisticated design just makes me feel good. Why? Because it makes you rethink or take a second look at how complicated we make things at times.  We often overlook simple solutions because we think it is too simple.  The challenge with that equation is that we over think, instead of going with what we knew all along.

This brings us to spirit… I have an entrepreneur and volunteer spirit that attracts like-minded local small and non-profit organizations.  I am always looking for new and better ways to help promote their organizations.  One of the greatest things about what I do is seeing my clients happy and proud of their website, business cards or t-shirts that I made with them.   Helping people achieve their goals…  dreams or just making something that was in their mind come to reality is awesome.  Sometimes it is just the simple things that can bring such joy.

Coming from humble beginnings, I realize sharing knowledge, time or whatever resources I have makes us all better.  My heart has a special place for our many Veterans and Armed Forces, those effected by cancer, mental illness and disease.  This is apparent through my involvement with local organizations such as the annual San Diego Veterans Day Parade and Compeer San Diego.

I am the daughter of a Korean and Vietnam War Veteran and a proud member of the first eUnit for the American Legion Auxiliary. Since becoming a member of the Auxilary in December 2005, I achieved some of the organizations highest awards. In my first year I was fortunate to receive a National Award for Children and Youth and in 2007, was nominated as Department of California Auxiliary Member of the Year.
